A couple of weeks ago I mentioned the first-time homebuyer's tax credit in a post. There are some important changes to this program this year. In 2008, the credit needed to be paid back. This year, the credit does not have to be paid back unless the home ceases to be your main residence within a three-year period following the purchase.
